Congratulations on your decision to further your education!
The first step to be eligible for the Valley Promise is to
complete the Pledge by May 15 of your senior year of high school.
Students who do not meet the May 15 deadline will not be eligible to
receive Valley Promise benefits such as scholarships, mentoring opportunities,
and internships.
Effective Fall 2024, graduates from participating high
schools meeting eligibility criteria will receive a “last dollar” tuition-free
scholarship for up to eight (8) semesters to South Texas College. This
scholarship will cover any tuition gap between what classes cost and what Pell
grants and/or other federal, state, or institutional aid does not. To learn
more about your eligibility criteria and ongoing programmatic support, visit www.valleypromise.org.
Note: All Valley Promise information and updates will be
sent to the email you list on your Pledge form. If your contact information
changes, let us know by emailing valleypromise@southtexascollege.edu.
The Valley Promise can only be used at a participating college or university;
however, completing the Pledge does not commit you to attending a partner
institution. For a full list of participating colleges and universities, visit www.valleypromise.org.
